Two failures that look identical on the floor

Where the water goes depends on the install

Garage installs are the mildest case: water runs toward the door, wets the bottom of drywall and any stored cardboard, and stays on one level. What gets dried and what gets thrown out

Wet fiberglass insulation comes out. Cardboard, particleboard shelving, and anything with a paper face that took water and sat is not a drying candidate.
